Ryan or other Finnix'ers.
Any good suggestions for using Finnix 91.0 to create a swap partition
for future LiveCD usage on a Mac ?

The Mac is a G3 tray-loading iMac with a 6GB hdd and 256MB RAM.
It currently has a 160MB swap partition, a 5.5GB+ /(root) partition,
and the requisite Apple_PartitionMap and Apple-Bootstrap partitions
for its current install of Debian Etch for PPC.
Questions here are, for installing OS X 10.x and leaving a swap
partition on the hdd, what should I best do with the Finnix LiveCD ?
- Do I wipe out ALL partitions on the hdd with Finnix mac-fdisk, and
then make a 256MB-384MB (1.0-1.5 x RAM) partition at the end of the
hdd, but BEFORE installing OS X 10 ?
- Do I even need to delete the Apple_PartitionMap and Apple-Bootstrap
partitions using Finnix's mac-fdisk BEFORE installing Mac OS X 10.x ?
- If I use Finnix's mac-fdisk to wipe out ALL hdd partitions, and THEN
install Mac OS X 10.x, can I still set aside space at the end of the
hdd for eventually formatting and swapon'ning with Finnix the
256MB-384MB swap partition ?

The primary purposes of using the Finnix PPC liveCD for this
pre-partitioning are 1) to have a performance-capable setup for using
the Finnix liveCD to do troubleshooting&diagnoses OUTSIDE of the Mac
OS X 10.x -specific features for this, and 2) to effectively enable
the use of X when desired, by using a liveCD that is designed to
support X (e.g., the Debian XFCE and KDE liveCD's).

Thanks for any pointers here.
